Special inspections introduce another connection between design requirements and what is actually installed. Under NYC Building Code Section 1705.20, special inspection is required for exterior architectural wall panels, curtain walls, and veneer anchorage for the full height of the installation when any portion of that installation exceeds 40 feet above grade.
